Tip: To help avoid misalignments (when the bottom layer feeds, but the top layer doesn't). This tends to happen more often when the starting point is more bulky. I like to put my finger nail behind the bulk of both layers and make sure I push the top layer so it feeds at the same time as the bottom. Your starting point will look just as clean as the picture below.
